DId anyone see this match coming? I was extremely surprised considering Katie was engaged to yummy Cris Klien....and Tom was with the beautiful latino....so when did this happen? I would never imagine these two paired up. Kinda makes me imagine good ole' Tom running after her in the house singing "Who's your daddy" to Katie  lol |

I never did. Actually they ended it Clin guy a while back. Then Tom left the latino girl ..who is now with Mathew Mc Cauney..Saraha guy. I never saw it but one word. LUCKY!!! She's hot and cute. And no matter what she's now the it girl. Batman Begins doesn't have to do well she's with Tom. She's got power and people looking at her. Welcome to Hollywood Kate.

Yep. He wants to get it all the way through and over with. Thought it was interesting when she was caugt on the run way saying to him
"I'm not a fling"
Oh and him getting shot with the water as a prank. That wasn't really funny. Although if he was that pissed he should have just left it alone. Now they are going to make a lot of money at least in England where the show is based out of from getting him with water. Oh and I dont think need to file assault charges seriously. That is a bit much. I saw the tape of it. It's not worth assault charges. It was a prank nothing more.

Due to the success of the "Batman Begins" film, Warner Bros. has signed actors Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman for a second movie. However, Katie Holmes, who played attorney and love interest Rachel Dawes, will not return, according to a report at imdb.com.
Apparently, Warner Bros. is upset with the actress, feeling her recent engagement to superstar Tom Cruise distracted the media from focusing on the film. That made the decision to seek another actress easy.
"Everyone is in agreement that the movie's strength is with Bale, Caine and Freeman," said a source to PageSix.com. "Holmes won't be in the sequel. The next romantic interest will be a much stronger actress. Warner is happy that people are now focusing on who'll be playing the Joker rather than Katie and Tom."
The first to be signed, of course, was Bale to return as Batman, followed immediately by Caine, who will continue as Alfred, Bruce Wayne's butler, and Freeman as Lucius Fox, head of Wayne's businesses.
Warner Bros. is reportedly very happy with the performance of "Batman Begins." In its initial weekend, the film earned $46.9 million, adding to a total of $71 million since its opening on Wednesday, June 15. While not Spider-Man franchise-level numbers, the film has very strong word-of-mouth going for it and is felt by pundit and fan alike to be revitalizing the Caped Crusader's future in the movie theater.
Interesting though how the PR doesn't effect War of the Worlds ....things that make you go hmmmm..

If this keeps going for her she's going to have to break it from Tom. She's a good actress and does have a strong Indy background. But, this is gotta hurt. This is her first big break out movie, and she's not back for the sequel. I think this may happen wth War of the Worlds. Although sad though. Still going to go see both. I understand his points and I agree. It seems like today everyone's answer is pills. Everyone's on some form of pills.
It's not her doing it though. That is the sad thing. Everything is more on Tom though. The news from what I'v seen is always geared more to tom....Not katie. Which isn't good. It's always something that happened to tom. Weither it's this today interview. he's on the today show promoting War................................................................. but ended up talking more about his personal life *Ouch this is going to get nasty*. And the sad thing is War costs 200 million to make. Tom walks away with a 10th of returns. If I were Spieldburg I'd be making him shut up.

I agree...its not really there faults...but they are celebrities and with such they know the repercussion. Katie isn't as young as she looks and well Tom has pretty much been there and done that...the thing is...when a man with icon status such as Tom...dates a younger women or any women it can onlt help his carreer...it keeps him young in the female audience eyes..., but when a young women such as Katie goes for the older guy its always spinned of as some kind of altered motive...I mean I dont see this relation ship hurting Toms carreer...He has his status and he knows it....but Katie...to be bit in the arse because of it...well I am not sure I would consider it fair, but I do consider it understandable....especially when the event of the hour should be BAtman and it turns into what did you and Tom do last night.....

True and she's only 5-8 years out of college. She just got out of it when she started dawson's creek. But....... who knows how this is going to go. I didn't expect this and she was developing a name and winning awards in the independent circles and then this. She should have maybe stuck with the independents and all. Although looks like she's happy. I'm not going to get into older/younger relationships I'm in one of going on 3 years. But, this is getting worse.

I have found several articles that do not shed a good light on these two. From the articles I have found, Tom seems to be a bit controlling when it comes to Katie....

Tom Cruise and fiancee Katie Holmes are planning a Scientology wedding, which will take place next month.
The War of the Worlds actor, who has been romancing the 26-year-old actress since April, is set to tie the knot at the Scientology headquarters in Los Angeles before honeymooning on a yacht with his soon-to-be third wife, according to British newspaper the Sunday Express.
The 43-year-old has previously been married to actresses Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman.
A source at the religious centre says, "Tom has encouraged Katie to embrace our faith and they have both agreed to a Scientology wedding service."
Another source explains, "It has become a prerequisite of Tom's that the closest people in his life should also be Scientologists.
"He was mortified when Nicole turned her back on his faith but he is overjoyed that Katie has embraced it."

When Holmes accompanied Cruise to a recent taping of The View, eyebrows were raised when she wasn't allowed to go to the bathroom alone.

Later, when Holmes needed to go, "three Scientologists followed her in."
A rep for the show said: "We don't follow guests to the bathroom."
Meanwhile, some star-watchers were also concerned because Holmes "looks like she hasn't slept in weeks."

Now I ask you ...is this just rumours and what not? Or do you think there is soem underlining domination thing going on? Tom has also been in the news as saying "there is no such thing as chemical embalance" with his already public altercations with brooke sheilds. I wonder if this control stems from the fact that his age is creeping up on him and isn't as desirable as he once was and the fact that Katie is finally coming into her own.

speaking for the domination peeps...as far as I know scientology has in NO way ummmmm any connections what so ever to the leather community. So that being said. Ummmmm if she's not being manipulated and is okay with those actions then -shrugs- more power to them. Although if it's ture and she's not then they all need to get together and get them away. I know nothing about scientology and the way the religious is in this country not many do. But, I can't think if it saying that.
