[green] As I was walking through the grocery store yesterday, buying the ingredients needed for tomorrows dinner, it suddenly struck me at how much food there was all around me. I just stood there, in the middle of the produce section, staring at the multitude of food, and wondered--just how much of this is going to go to waste?
In an age where we can grow so much food and a wide varity of choices, why is it that so many are still going without? And I'm not talking about the 'Third Worlds' or famine countries either. I'm talking about the people who live right here in our own country, who can't afford to buy proper food. Startng at this time every year, you hear the call for food drives, and it just astounds me that all the leftover food in grocery stores will be thrown out! Isn't there some way that we could take all that excess food and give it where it's needed most?
I do what I can, but I'm not a rich person, and this year when I sit down with my family for Thanksgiving dinner, I'm going to say a little prayer for those who constatly go without, and hopefully one day, someone will set in motion a plan to make sure not another single person on this planet will ever go hungry again.[/green]

People can't get food here because of the government system. Yeah I'm aware that people ..mother's and such get a Grand or Two a month. I know those types and all. She also gets just about everythign free. But, here is the thing..someone's taught her. Someone's shown her. Now you'r going to say that maybe Blacks get everything. They get everything because someone.....either at the government building or some other person taught them. That is the thing. If you want something you do have to play the system. And this system's very complicated and if you don't you may starve.
I don't know if they will donate it. But, still they won't donate all of that food. No way. they will want money in some way shape or form.
