So far, in the first week of NaNo, I have written over 10,000 words. Roughly 2000 per day. It sounds hard, but I’ve got a schedule, and if I stick to that, then I’m fine. It also helps that I’ve planned out the whole thing, so I know what’s going to happen and can write accordingly. There were a couple of days that I couldn’t write at all, so I just doubled up the next day. Makes for a hard day on the eyes, and I’ve changed the font size on my MS word to between 16 and 20 so I don’t put that much of a strain on my eyes.
So far;
-Amelia thought her husband was having an affair, and she fretted about it, to the point of being obsessed, until she overheard a phone call. A call that quelled her affair fears, but she can’t grasp the idea of her husband selling the soul of their first born, to pay for something. She’s also overheard the original bargain being altered, but has no idea of how he’s going to pay for that. She’s noticing strange things happening around her, including a strange aura around her son - Chad, and a trio who seemed to be following her around town.
I’ve begun to wonder if this story is going to be long enough. I’ve got it down to six chapters, but I wonder if I can make the 50,000 mark. The first two chapters are only 5,000, and that was hard to do. I had to add in a lot that I normally wouldn’t, and now, I have four chapters left, and I’m going to have to make them each at least 10,000 words long in order to make it. I guess this is where my organization skills come it. I’m going to have to plot right down to the paragraph of what’s going to happen, and add in where it’s weak.
