The price of gas and other fuels continue to go up. Soon it will be so much that the average Joe or Jill will not be able to afford it. The United States is already heading for a depression. People will loose jobs because fuel cost more then they are getting paid, Farmers will not be able to afford to run their equipment...and without the farmers, there will be low food shortages, will will most likely jack the prices up.
And no one knows why...why the price of gas is so high...I mean come on..many blame it on the war....this isn't true....if any the prices should be lower...
Soon cars will be left on the streets and in the parking lots with no place to go....transportation will cease...I personally do not feel that we are ready for it....
Am I the only one who sees it coming?

Your not the only one, I see it coming. It's actually quite sad that gas is so high. My uncle said to me four days ago that now with the gas prices building up the gas bill is 50,000 dollars for him. They really have to do something to lower it down, I know that a lot of people are stealing gas because of this. Really something needs to be done.

the problem is actually not the War. We don't get ANY of that gas and never have. It's OPEC the group that actually has the most amount of gasoline. They have been slowly gathering up a ton of oil. But, instead of actually sellin it off in the 90's they agreed to nickle and dime us all.
They did this so that way Russia or someone else in the world wouldn't be the leading gas provider for everyone and it would in turn slow down there amount..and make them useless..and they would still be top dog. So really...it's economics. They have a TON of oil but in no way shape or form is OPEC oin to give it to us.
Oh and Iraq is a member of OPEC

It also could do with availability. About ten years ago I watched a report that stated there was only enough oil to last the next fifty years. Personally, I think we should be putting more effort into alternative rescorces. We have to get off our dependency on oil. In the end it's the lower and middle class that is affected the most. The rich don't care what the price of gas is because they can afford it whatever the cost. We have to watch what we're doing. We were brought into a world pamper by cheap energy, and now we're paying the real price.
