Okay, so like seriously dude, my manager needs to take his orders and demands and SHOVE THEM UP HIS A$$!
Okay so here's the deal. Today, Nov. 21st right? like 2 days before thanksgiving, and the bakery is just busy as hell. Seriously dude we had THREE people closing tonight. ANd we still BARELY got out of there on time. We spent ALL our time packaging stuff that had to be done. I mean we had tons left and like we worked our asses off packaging stuff, and then suddenly our manager type person Jim comes in and he's all..
"You know you need JR's right? You're totaly out!"
And Brit was like "I JUST stocked up the thing full of then like five minutes ago!"
And I went out to look and it was full, and he pointed to the other side where the WHEAT JRs are. And he's all, "see? You NEED more NOW!"
And I'm like "Jim you've been ehre longer than I have and yous hould know that when you say "JRs" you are talking about WHITE. If you're talking about wheat JR's you SAY "Wheat JRs" Its ot that hard. You had us spazzing for no reason."
"Well, it doesn't matter, you need to fill them NOW!"
"Yeah fine w/e"
SO I go in back and start putting lables on the few wheat JRs we have left right? and then a customer comes so I have to take an order for them. Then jsut as I start again, another customer comes and I have to take another order. Just as they are walking away and I start labeling JRs AGAIN, and he comes back and starts pregnant doging about how there are NO t-rolls on the rack up front. And WHY haven't I gotten the wheat JRs out yet?
"Um, because everytime I try to lable them I get interrupted. The first and second time by two customers, and now by you."
"Well I'm sorry, but get those t-rolls up there!"
"Brit jsut went to get hte cart so we could load them. I was just up there though and it was full."
"Well its not anymore, so get to work, no one leaves here tonight before eight, and I want to see everything fully stocked before you go, because if its all stocked when you leave, but empty when Scotty comes in in the morning he's going to have a fit."
"Well then THATS scotty's problem isn't it? Because we're out of both wheat JR's AND about to be out of wheat t-rolls, and I'm sorry but even if we stock everything full up, and there are STILL left overs, and the shleves are empty, thats NOT our fault, and its NOT our problem."
And I walked away to stock the wheat JR's and spent the rest of the night wondering if I should have pushed the page button on the phone and announced to the entire store "Could Jim Cronin please pull the stick out of his ass and shove his orders up it?"
I mean serioulsy I understand that its JUST before thanks giving and ppl are going to be buying stuff left and right, but we were working our asses off,a nd trying to do teh best we could and he was demanding that we check ALL our shelves every 15 min! WTF if we did that, we wouldn't be doing anything else! We'd get NOTHING done! He didn't need to be so pissy and nuts. I came REALLY close to being like,
"You know what? If you want all that done so baddly then why don't YOU do it, or help us in here? Because yeah there may be three of us, but there is like four times as much stuff to get done. You want so much but you don't know what its ike back here. All you do is walk aorund telling ppl to straightena dn restock, and you run the machine that moves the flates...a moneky would do that. Try working back here tonight or tomorrow night and find out what you're demanding of us."
Coulda, woulda, SHOULDA!
Seriously I should have said it and told him off, but NO! I held my toungue....meh, I'm so dissapointed with myself. If it keeps up and if the excuse I KEEP getting is "b/c of the holidays and stuff" then I WILL do something about it, because I work too damn hard to be treated that way.
