What do you think is on the other side of the moon? The only pics we have really ever saw were a bit too grain to make anything out...with us facing only one side, would it be much different?
It has long been a theory of some UFOlogists that the far side of the Moon could harbor a base for extraterrestrials. Presuming they come from a distant planet in some other solar system, they must have a base from which they can make their regular visits to the Earth. What better place than the far side of the Moon, which is perpetually hidden from sight?
Is there or was there a base?

Isn't that a Pink Floyd album? No, wait, that was Dark Side of the Moon. My bad. But the moon rotates, so really if you were to follow the rotation of the moon across the planet, wouldn't you be able to see the whole thing? I still haven't figured out why they stopped going to the moon in the first place. We could of had a base there by now. It has been what, almost 40 years since the last moon landing?

I think (as Rell said) the moon rotates as the earth does so really the dark side of the moon is only dark for a short period of time, I also do not think there is anything mysterious about it lol... Apparently NASA have been planning to return to the moon at some point and talk is of a moon base being set up as a jumping off point for future manned Mars missions.
