Washing ban for Bush visit Bulgarian women have been banned from hanging out their washing during a visit by President Bush. Authorities in the capital Sofia passed a special ruling banning washing along the route of the president's motorcade on June 11. They have also started rounding up 'unsightly' beggars and clearing up rubbish. Children who stop cars at traffic lights offering to wash windows have been warned they will be arrested if they try it when Bush arrives. Police have said the measures are designed to make the city appear in the best possible light. [ananova] LMAO.....its alright for the place to smell bad as long as it looks good.... I can't beleive that they would do all this jut to have Bush ride through the streets in his car...Come on....this is silly. Although.....I am sure the excuse will be for security reasons...dont want a sniper hiding behind Bertha's girdle now would we? After all, seems to me that if anyone should be cleaning up it is Bush....he has made such a mess, if you ask me.
