So,
We all know that fantasy is the top "dog" sorta speak. I'v been thinking about this and well I'm going to actually do it now. What do you think is the reasons why and what science fiction can do to become just as popular as it's counter part fantasy? Because, if you take out BSG you don't really have any science fiction. And, novel wise everyone freaks out over fantasy and yet sci-fi isn't really mentioned much.

I think when people think of Sci-fi they think of Star Wars or Star Trek. I love both of these, but at times they can be abit to litereal. I will skip pages in SW novels because they are so mechanically detailed that it puts me to sleep. Or maybe that's just becasue men are writting it. Women tend not to be so detailed. The same can be said of ST.

I think you can get lost in Fantasy but Science Fiction as Rell has said tends to need more detail to make it more credible.... mind you saying that I love both, and there are some very good female SI-Fi writers out there.
