Some people believe that that the infamous crash of Roswell, was nothing more then a hoax , a weather balloon. Others beleive that it was a space ship, some beleive that it was a military project,Some beleive that it was an space ship, but to make it seem like a hoax, the miliatary promoted propaganda in hopes to make it seem less real....and more of a hoax... And there are hundreds of other speculations out there today.
What do you think? Do you think thier was actually a crash? Was it Space or Earthly? Do you think it was a Goverment Coverup, or a Goverment mess up? Tell us what youthink and why?

I think it was a gov't mess-up that turned into a gov't cover up. I also think it was a conspiracy. The government said it was a weather/spy balloon. I think the gov't was actually testing a very advanced peace of equiptment. Also, there is an Air Force base either in or near Rosswell, NM. Therefore, it seems very likely that it was some kind of top secret military project.
But then I don't blame the gov't for wanting to cover it up if it was indeed a military project and not an alien craft. I agree with them that "national security far outweighs the publics need to know."

It's really a damn if it is and damn if it's not type of situation. It is such intrenched in people's minds. As far as people being obsessed and so many people and company's make money off of Area 51 that if it wasn't true they'd all be jacked. So really it's more of a case of "damn if it is and damn if it isn't".

Its more of a hoax to me then anything else. Lets face it when the government has top secret project that gets exposed, they do everything but say what they were doing. Roswell is a pefect example of muddying the waters after there flying craft (or whatever they were doing) was discovered. Everything else is just people with big imaginations and not enough attention for a reality check.

I agree with you, but still I think that: "National security far outweighs the publics need to know." The gov't probably spread the story about it being a crashed alien vehicle around so people wouldn't be trying to snoop into government bussiness to try and find out what they were top secretly working on.

Conspiracy's can be fun. Also too bring out thought that may have not have thought. Like what if flight 183 I believe that was a "wiring" problem had actually been blown out of the sky.

off topic.
Right, and instead of dispprving the lunatics who say they got abducted, they tell the public to look into all 'possibilities".
Every day some government vehicle prototype crashes, theyve been building new planes since WWI. One of them crashes and a bunhc of old yellers get spooked, they call the media, it goes national. and there you go, you got a secret facility being threatened to be uncovered, and it suddenly goes national as "the freaky place where aliens poked my intestines"

I remember in WWII, US warplanes were crap compared to the German and Japanese warplanes. Even at the end of the war, Britain and Germany were already cranking out jet planes. America didn't develop our first jet plane till WWII ended. But haha yeah, about the aliens at Roswell story, it is almost surprising how much control the media has over the masses.

Thats not true, the American Air Force wasn't formed until 1947, I know this cuz im in the Air Force JROTC at my school so we learnt it last year. Even in the second world war, the air force still fell under the army.
