In Harrisburg PA, a federal judge barred a Pennsylvania public school district Tuesday from teaching “intelligent design” in biology class, saying the concept is creationism in disguise. It is considered to be the biggest dispute between faith and evoltion since, 1925 Scopes Monkey Trial. The scholl board argure that it was trying to teach alternatives to Darwin's theory of evolution and natural selection. But the judge stated,"We find that the secular purposes claimed by the board amount to a pretext for the board’s real purpose, which was to promote religion in the public school classroom.” For Full ArticleWhat is your opinion on this? Do you think that "Intelligent Design" Should be considered a religion or a science, and do you think the judge is right in claiming that it promotes it as a religion and remove it from the school system?

I'll just say this. Either of them are actually correct. They arn't 100 percent fact. No matter how many people in the right wing scream and hollar and pee on the white house...there belief isn't actually fact. I haven't talked nor seen God. I haven't been striked dead yet from saying the lords name in vain. Even though I'v done it tons of time and I haven't seen the devil. So really honestly what I think they should do is this. Teach both and leave it up to the kids. But, that is to radical of a choice to leave up to children. There not that smart after all. It's really what alot of adults and people are like saying to kids. we are going to decide this for you since you can't.

See I am torn...I think teaching it in a scientific theory and view is alrigiht to teach in school,. I mean they churches have there own schooling to teach religion...however, some might say that creatism is a religion, the problem is if they teach both....then how long do youthink it would take to teach every religions point of view and does it really serve its purpose? I thnk some religion are getting worried that their beleif isn't having the same effect as it once did and more people are begining to branchout and take control of there own beleifs...

I think the same way. And it doesn't help that Christianity is number 3 world wide now..and that Budhist are second with Allah and Islam number 1. Why they can't leave anything up to the kids' is beyond Me. But, we can't I guess they feel there to dumb. -shrugs-
