Do you have a muse? Does it just come to you like an epiphany? Do you have a ritual that helps your creative process when trying to come up with something to write?

My inspiration comes from everything around me. Anything I see or read, I say to myself:
"I know I can improve on it and make it even more interesting."
My muse is definitely a passive one.

My inspiration comes in the most from the most random places. SOmetimes, when i am bored, and i go and ride my bike, i just think of a really good idea, that happened for about 5 of them.

My inspiration comes from different places.
There are nights when I go out for a walk and I take my MP3 player with me. While I'm listening to the music my mind wanders and I form a lot of different and interesting scenes in my mind.
There are other times when I'll have an amazing dream and scenes from that dream become part of my stories.
Lastly, when I know exactly who I want the main characters to be I sit in front of my empty notebook and write "Where do I want this to go?" then i write as many ideas as I can and everytime i run out of ideas I keep writing that same question until more ideas come. It's a pretty good method.

I like to think I have a Muse, but most of my ideas come from my over-active imagination. I may get an idea from a show and re-create it to make it my own. Sometimes a certain song can spark some creativity as well.
I do have a ritual that I preform when writing. I have two stones, one helps get the juices flowing while the other amplifies the first stone. I also burn a yellow candle. It may sound funny or ridiculous to some, but you would be surprised how well it works.

Basically, tv movies and anything else that may spark an idea. Could even be a comerical. The New's and some of the things that are going on now that can give me inspiration.

I see things that i like, a story or a TV Show. There is a certain aspect of it, i'll be sitting there and watching something and be like
"Well i could make something good out of that, all i have to do is switch--"
Before i realize it i got a full blow idea, now if i could finish the idea's. That is one of my downfalls, anyways before i start to babble...
When i get a small idea i place music on (Some kind of soundtrack with instrumental music (*cough*Xena*cough*) and let it move me, inspiration is everywhere you just have to find it.

Any thing and every thing...
Theres a rule I use If somethings there I...can..uh, um, er...I'l get bakc to you on that....
I have an over active imagination, I even play around with beads...They are my soldiers!!!! I use legos to specify tanks, medics, rifle men, civilians and trnaceports. I even make paperclip people and have them act out things. I read books, magazines and watch television/movies, all of which I take notes on and use them for my own perposes. I have even looked at other peoples work and implemented some into my own work, just reworked and modified so it can't be identified.
I usualy just plow through my work, its how I work. I have five full binders full of paper that I have writen ideas, drawn and played around with. Some time in the future I could come out with a lot of games, books and who knows what else.

Ideas mostly just pop into my head. But, I could hear someone say something and I'd get an idea, but that happens rarely.

Since I only ever wrote fanfics, I can say that the movies I write on are my muse (and this means the Matrix movies). Also, music gives me a lot of ideas. Sometimes I listen to songs and I "see" a scene in my head, and I try to work around that.

Then I expand on it and it changed them enough for them to be completly mine.
