Right now I'm filling an application form/CV for a summer stage in a big fancy lawyer firm at which I have around 5% (and I'm optimistic) chances of being accepted.
Though it's not really a job, it made me curious: what was the first job you ever applied for? Did you get that job? Are you still employed there? Where you confident in your chances or did you just take a chance?

My very first jobs were working at a flea market on the weekend days and babysitting ont the weekend nights.
During my senior year, I rotated days working at Burger King and Hampshire Farms.
The after High School, joined the Army.
After the army, became a Private Investigator. However, I havent been one for a good wihile now....been Homemaker.

Well, my first job was in a supermarket and I lasted there a grand total off four hours? Maybe less before I though… Just No…
Ah well!
But now I am a care assistant to the elderly, part time that is.
I also do voluntary work.
As well as being a full time student…
Wow, I have a hectic life

My first job was at Taco Bell. I worked there before quitting after 4 years. I am currently a full time dad and waiting for the "okay" to go into the air force.

The first place I appliied fr was a job at a small fish and chip restaurant. The owner was new to Canada and had the strongest accent I'd ever heard. I just kept nodding my head at everything he said, whether I understood him or not.
Didn't get the job. Ah well.....
