Well, many myths say that it is an illness, or that it is a person demon-possessed. What do you think it is?

[purple][MOD MODE]I moved this because this doesn't fall under Urban Legends and Myths. It is neither a legend or a myth.[/purple][/i]
The only people I hear calling Homosexuality a disease are fundimentilist christians. And they think that anyone who doesn't think they're way are evil, no matter what. I've never heard it described as someone possessed though.
As to what I think it is, it is as natural as hetro or bi. If it was 'un-natural' it wouldn't exist in the first place. Everything that is in this univers seen and unseen is natural. To say that it isn't to me is a contradicary in terms. If God created man, and some are homosexual, then it stands to reason that God created Homosexuality as well. And if he created it, then he must except it.

Okay, sorry about that. xP Exactly, which is why the bible contradicts itself. He made homosexuality and he shouldn't make homosexuality a sin. Unpreventable. People often say that bisexuality is just a confusion, when I tell someone I'm bi, most people shrug or say "I'm bi too", but I've had a couple of people try to "help me." I know I'm not confused.

Some say homosexuality is a life choice and I suppose for some it is,( Famous people are always 'experimenting') but I think for the most part homosexuality is hot wired in to the brain, and its all part of a persons make up. I think it probably is a genetic misfire as the whole point of existence is to reproduce ( if you look at it in basic form) and two beings of the same sex cannot naturally reproduce. Having several friends who are gay I know that its not something they can just 'switch off', its who they are. One of my friends even fought his feelings got married and had a family but was so desperately unhappy which in turn made his family unhappy, the day he acknowledged who he really was was the happiest day of his life, he divorced his wife ( they have remained friends) and met someone new and has been with his male partner now for almost 15yrs.

Well, I see your point. And when you say that it was genetic, you didn't say it like it was wrong. I know bisexuality isn't genetic for me...my family has never produced a homosexual or bisexual known. (My family is full of homophobes, too )

Yeah it is hell. I just have to make sure that I don't bring it up and I don't feel weird. When it does come up people are just like "It's disgusting, I can't stand it." and stuff like that.

Yeah, none of them know that I'm bi, so that helps, too.

Any family at all can have homosexual members, its just the luck of the draw (so to speak) my hubby's mother lives next door to a family who have two homosexual kids (adults now of course) 1 daughter and 1 son, their other two kids are hetero married with kids of their own. I think its sad that some families have difficulty in accepting their children's life style but at least society in general is starting to be more liberal, well at least here in the UK we are a lot more tolerant of others life style choices and orientations. blu you are not a freak you are a normal human being and dont let anyone ever tell you otherwise. xx

I'm trying to help myself believe that I'm normal, it's hard though, especially when you're told all your life that you're nothing, disgusting, etc...Plus, all this other stuff in the way makes me feel weird, but I'm slowly getting more into accepting it.

Ah, well like I said, stay true to your own beliefs and yourself. Forget what anyone else thinks of you. Especially if its negative.

All I know is that Pandora's box is weird. It's been open..and there isn't anything to close it. Although it's been open for years. And, just because you'r of a certain group doesn't mean that you do the cliche's. I know a lot of people actually that fall into socially "wierd" and "strange" and yet no cliche's to speak of.
