Medical advancements have reached science fiction status...For the first time, scientists have created dozens of cloned embryos from adult primates. A step that brings us closer to human cloning. But what are the implications of this technical breakthrough for the future of mankind?
Attempts to clone human embryos for research have been dogged by technical problems and controversies over fraudulent research and questionable ethics. But a new technique promises to revolutionise the efficiency by which scientists can turn human eggs into cloned embryos.
At the moment, almost all governments oppose human reproductive cloning and more than 50 have legislation outlawing cloning. This is not to say that there havent been any attempts. Maverick researches have atried to cross the ethical boundry...and perhaps there are places hidden form the public that have tried and perhaps succeeded in it.
The world will soon be faced with a choice between banning the cloning of humans or preparing ways to protect them from potential abuse or discrimination.

What are your thoughts on this?
I can't help but think that if a human is cloned that it deserves to have rights, I can't see growing a human for parts....
