This first came to my attention in Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. Apparently, this stuff is amazing technology. Said to be 100 times more powerful then a nuclear warhead. And has 100% efficiency compared to 1.5% of nuclear energy. The problem is that its highly reactive . And if you don't know how reactive it is. It will explode when it meets oxygen

It will explode when it meets oxygen I think it is such a interesting topic, being that it is polar opposite of matter, that it is too intrigueing not to use in sceince fiction. A large majority of scifi storylines, have some kind of Anti-matter component to it. It is considered to be the futures fuel to the stars.....as exciting as it is, kinda scary to think about how we will get there....

Thats an interesting thought. And its also good to know that once we find a way to get to the outer layers of space, we can use the Anti-matter since there really isn't any matter far out in space (i think, not sure)
