Wait.
How is there not a Pokemon topic yet? *goes into shock*
Er, anyway. First of all, for anyone with Diamond or Pearl who lives in the US:
And in case the image isn't loading for you for some reason:
Saturday, September 29th 12-3pm
Plus (in a cute little arrow) > $5 OFF ANY DS game title with your download!
So, Pokemon!
After being highly disappointed with Ruby and Sapphire (I hate Hos - Pokemon, people, May, Max, ANYTHING from the Hoenn region.) Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are just untold levels of awesomenessism.
Not that I've beat it yet. I've just reached the Pokemon League, but my Rival solidly wiped the floor with me.
Right now, I'm trying to decide what to do with the Chimchar (Fire-type monkey which evolves into Fire/Fighting) and Piplup (Water-type penguin which evolves into Water/Steel) I acquired through the Global Trade Station. (You find a WiFi connection and you can either offer a Pokemon for trade or you can search for one and make the trade. (Though, some people ask for a Legendary for the simplest things.)
I started with Turtwig (Grass-type turtle which evolves into Grass-Ground) because my friend in Washington wanted to start with Piplup and her boyfriend was going to start with Chimchar. For some reason they didn't think to make sure they got girls and that means they'll have to get a Ditto to breed their Pokemon with. (I restarted until I got a female Turtwig.)
I'm rambling, but *shrug* meh.
There's a wireless feature called The Underground. You can go there even without anyone else being around. You run around and dig "spheres" out of the ground which work as currency Underground. You can also get a bunch of items by digging. I've got quite a few evolution stones and Revives by digging so much. It's clearly addictive.
OH, one of my favorite features: You only have to battle a Pokemon to add it to your Pokedex now, you don't have to catch it.
This makes things quite easier. If you battle every trainer in the game, you will have seen all the Pokemon and can then get your National Dex which allows for a whole bunch of cool stuff like uploading Pokemon from a 3rd Generation game. Just having another game pack in the GBA slot will make certain Pokemon appear.
I'll either shut up and go to sleep now or start training my Pokemon. ^^
