My son is asking for one for christmas, but I remembered awhile back that they weren't all that, that the cords or something kept breaking when being played. I thought I would ask those of you who are familar with it, if it is worth the money to get it. I don't have the money to buy something that is cheaply made.

Oh I'd love to have a Wii console, I'm dropping hints like crazy to hubby for my Christmas pressy. I believe the problem with the hand controlls cord has been sorted and more and more games are coming out for it, its even got its own version of the Brain Train game. I hope Santa brings me one ...lol

They changed up the wii due to something like whiplash. And well Enchant, I just don't care for it. It changes how gaming is done and its a change I don't like. Mainly cause you have to move your arms a lot.

Lazy bum.
I actually have a Wii.
I don't mind moving my arms more. Granted, I had kind of a twitch going on for the month or so I was playing LoZ: Twilight Princess, but it was a fun twitch. ^^
I love my Wii.
I've had no problems with the wrist strap breakingr, but I haven't been chucking the Wiimote at the TV. I came across site/blog which said that he went outside and tried to get the strap to break by throwing the Wiimote, but it just wouldn't break.
I found the new controllers helped improve my aim when it came to things like shooting the bow in Zelda. I'm not much of a shooter gamer because my aim generally sucks, but with the Wiimote, I really, really want to try Resident Evil 4 and/or Red Steel. Probably RE4 since it's only $30.
