Resident Evil 4 Called 'Ultraviolent'
Resident Evil 4 and God of War were on the list of the top 10 most violent video games as rated by the Family Media Guide, the GameSpot Web site reported.
The ratings, based on the watchdog group's assessment of game content provided by its sister company, PSVratings, were released on Thanksgiving, at the start of the holiday shopping season, the site reported. This year's list included what the group called "some of the most ultraviolent video games ever created."
The top 10 games, in no particular order, also included the non-SF&F games Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, NARC, Killer 7, The Warriors, 50 Cent: Bulletproof, Crime Life: Gang Wars, Condemned: Criminal Origins and True Crime: New York City.Source:scifi.com
Have you played any of these games, would you agree?

If you are a parent and unsure of the game. Rent it or see if someone around the kid's got it and play it. Then decide if ti's sutable. Sorry..ubt the ratings are there for a purpose and I refuse having EVERYTHING suitable for "familys"....don't get Me wrong I love Lion King but I don't want everything to be Lion King.

Well we all have wierd macabre thoughts and fantasy's. As long as the person know's this is fake and that you can't do this sort of thing out in the real world. I mean come on all have thoughts that people would label as wierd or not normal. That in of it's self is normal. Ever since Doom there have always been games that are to "violent..or to XXX". Like when I was a kid it was Mortal Kombat. Which yeah was violent but I knew from having taken karate that just because I could do a round house doesn't mean I should. You'r taught to defend yourself and not go beating up people.

I agree if the person is mature enough to handle the content. I am just amazed how people can justifythere actions by blaming them on music and games and what not...I mean a video game is make believe......
But I do think a young person, can be influence by it if it is the only learning tool they have. What I mean is, alot pf parents use games and movies as a babysitter instead of some good constructive activities....if a child grows up playing this game and the parent alllows it with out any other avenues of educational fun, I can see how it could influence ones behavior....

I agree and I'v seen it. Where it's "ohhh look Barny's on TV!!!!" something like that. Yeah but the thing is it's like ohhh well " Maryln Manson did it!" Like remember Columbine and they were sitting around and they just blamed Marylen for like a Month and then later they found papers that said that he's a "f*g" and they didn't like him. -laffs- Sorry but good night. It's just really easy and it's the commen and especially Political scape goat. Anything goes wrong just blame the entertainment people. I think people just need to realize that there is always going to be "inappropriate" material. People been trying to get rid of prostitution and it's been around since well into the 13th century I know it's gotta be longer. Ever since there has been a camera there been porn.

But for a lot of people they don't like that they are even made. They tend to get blamed for violence in the world. When Man's just violent.
