*The young girl stood by her father, looking out over the dark blue sea.*
"Father, Why do we live on a boat? Why don't we live in a house, like other kids my age? Some one told me, its bad luck to have a female aboard a ship. Is this true?"
*Her father placed his hand on her shoulder and smiled.*
"Aye,it tis, it tis indeed, but you, you are my daughter, fruit of my loins, you were born of the high seas. You are a pirates daughter. The salt air is in your blood. One day my daughter, you will be queen of the sea. You will be a force to recon with."
*The young girl cuddled up to her father and smiled. Then the sky turn immediately black, It began to rumble adn the water began to grow. The young girl was now a couple years older. She was watchihng as the storm intensified. The water began to rise into large waves. They were huge, taller than the ship that she stood upon.*
"Father? Father?"
*A ship mate pulled her into the cabin below and locked her in. She ran to the door and was banging on it*
"Let me out, let me out....Father....Father!!!*
"The ship began to rock, causing the young girl to fly across the room. It then rocked the other way and she landed on the wall that was now underneath her. Her belongings fell of there shelves and the furniture was all in a mess. She rotated with the room, until the table hit her in the head and knocked her out.. When she came to, the door was opened, actually it hung of the henges. She slowly got up, and stood up. She lifted her hand up to her head and felt the bump and the blood. She pulled her hand down and looked at it.She wiped her hand on her pants and then headed towards the door. As, she stepped out she noticed that part of the stairs was missing. A sudden flash of terror began to consume her. She rushed up the stairs.*
"Father? Father? ...."
*She was now standing on a rock. The ship had apparently floated into the rocks. She franticly searched the area and what was left of the ship. There was nothing there, nothing at all. She began to cry.....She was in the middle of the ocean, all alone and no one, especially her father was anywhere in sight.....She screamed*
"FATHER!!!!!!!!!"
*SHe then heard a noise behind her and the water began to rise. It glowed and a large form emerged out of the water...* * * * * * * * * *
*Pheonix woke up after falling of the cabin bed. She stumbled to the floor and lifted herself up, by holding on the bedside. She swaggered her way over to the port hole and stuck her head out. She inhaled deeply. She then pulled her head in and put her leather and blades on. She put her hat on and proceeded out of the cabin. She walked up the stairs, the best she could, considering she was getting over a drunken slummber.*
"Captian, your just in time, the birds eye just reported land ho."
*Pheonix looked at her first make and nodded her head.*
"Very well, we shall make dock and restock on nessessities. Go ahead and give the men a day and night shore leave. We set sail two days time."
*The first mate looked at her and followed unquestionlly*
"Aye captain. What are you going to do?"
*Pheonix looked at him and smiled.*
"I am going to look up an old freind. Now, get a move on you scally wag, Let the men find there wenches and fill our bowels"
*The first mate smiled and followed her orders. He began to yell out orders to the crew.*
"Aye aye captian. Yo lets get a move on , you cabin boy, finish scrubbing the deck. And then we men will show you how to swoon a wench."
*Pheonix then went to the wheel and watched over her ship. The Sinbad's Ghost ....in honor of her father*

Samhain walked though the bar and grill she'd owned for the last few years. A decent looking ninteen year old girl wiht long, dark chestnut brown hair and gray eyes. She wasn't short but she wasn't tall eitehr, she stood at about 5'10.
She had a circular serving tray as she passed through the drunks and the tables. If was a small town where everyone knew everyone She stopped suddenly as a dagger wizzed inf ront of her face and hit the dart board two inches from her head...at second look it wasn't a dagger but on of her eating kives.
"Hey. HEY! These are NOT darts!" She pulled the kinves fromt he dart board and then made the three men give the rest up. "Use the damn darts!"
She went behind the bar and dumped the dirty dishes into a sink. It was a small place, full of fun, everyone got along, nad they knew everyone else. She had only one employee. A boy she had a crush on, he was 20, tall, dark, absoulty gorgus. And compleatly oblivious to her in any way other than freinds and the fact she was his boss. She watched him leave earlier aftre his shift and coulnd't wait till he came back for his shift later that night. Suddenly she felt sick..as though she were on a ship in the middle of a hurricane. Shrugging it off as buttrflies for the boy she went on serving drinks.

*Phoenix started departing the ship when she could smell fresh bake goods, merging with the salt air. She remembered this place well. Port Surrection was a frequent stop for Sinbad's Ghost. One of the few places, where pirates were eccepted without bother. Once both her feet stepped of the small wooden bridge from the ship to the dock, she adjusted her clothes, while trying to decide if she would get to the reason she was here or stop off for a meal.
She could hear her crew scattered about, laughing boisteriously and talking and apparently having a good time.it was much needed. She has grown up with most of them. They had been her fathers crew and helped taught her most of what she knew. With that she decided to get the unpleasurities out fo the way.
She walked up to the front door of a shabby dock pub. a drunken scakkywag laid at the feet of the door. Music could be heard throughthe cracks of the doors and a loud and femanine voice can be heard yelling at the customers.
Phoenix looked at the past out drunk and raised her eyes, nodded her head and rhetorically spoke to him*
"Of course she is yelling, if she wasn't I would have though posieden had come ad taken her."
*Taking in a deep inhale, she gripped the door and pulled it open. It took only a moment to see her, a smirk arouse*
"I am looking for the individual who can bully and belly a beast and out drink a drunk. Have you seen sucha person?"
*Phoenix took the first empty table and took a seat*

"Hah, waddya bet she's got 'im so whipped 'e won't be sleepin' on 'is back agin til 'e's dead, eh Capt'n?" A friendly voice spoke up beside her, matching perfectly the crooked grin that lit the sailor's features. He had a mug of ale in his hands and a twinkle in his blue eyes; easily recognizable as one of her crew since he wasn't one to keep himself to himself. Risar was living up to any sailor's reputation, trying his hardest to drink all the ale he could get his hands on, but he was no where near being drunk and had wandered over to find out if the captain might like some company. None would be able to tell how he was feeling by looking at him, since his smile could seem as genuine in a fight as it was now.
Tossing back his head, he quaffed half the mug and waved to an empty chair. "Yeh wouldn't be mindin' if I took this here seat, would ye, Capt'n?" Risar hadn't bothered himself about her last comment, since it obviously hadn't been meant for him, but he still decided to try his luck at friendly conversation. Had it been any other he would have moved away or simply sat, but his own captain was certainly due some respect, so he figured, even when she wasn't on her ship and especially after having given the men a day and night's shore leave. He could drink all he wanted and not have to worry about the ensuing headache giving him problems.

Samhain couldn't help but snickr at the whipped comment. The she sighed.
"He isn't whipped though I wish I could, he so...."
She stopped abruptly realizing what she was saying.
"No, hes just gone home for a few hours he'll be back later tonight." then her voice got low. "As for Da," she sighed, "You havn't been around for a while. I thought to send to you but well...I thought you be here sooner so I didn't. He died a few months back. About two months after you last left."
She paused, an angry, dark look crossing her face.
"My no for good older brother had skipped town, damn Beltane, its him and his wild ways, along with my no respect, ho of a sister. The town "working girl" so to speak. Da would never admit to it until she ended up with a kid in her belly. He insisted she marry the man who got her with child, she said no. They had a huge fight. I mean, I'm surprised you didn't hear it out at sea. Lets just say it ended baddly. Da cuffed her upside the head...good thing he did becasue I'd have done worse. Anyway she hit him back, then turned heel and ran. We searched for a week. Finally found her in the woods. I won't get too much into it, but there was a deep long cut in her belly, I'll let you guess, and then another, along with the blade, in her chest.
Well it was he and my brother that finally did him in. They had no respect for him, no love, they didn't care for anyone but themselves. Sometimes I wonder if Mum had an affiar before having me. They've disgraced us, and killed Da. I dunno where Beltane is now, and I don't care. But Mabon didn't deserve a burial place by my parents."
She softened a bit.
"If you want to pay respects, he's bruied beside my mother. I'm sure you know where that is."
She turned on her heel to go get the woman's order and to allow for all she said to sink in.

*Phoenix sat there surprised that she hadn't heard of his death, She waited for Samhain to return with anouther mug of ale.*
"So did yer' father died a respectable death? Or did he drink his self to hades?"
*She took a gulp of ale and then kicked the seat adjacent to her out from under the table.*
"Take a seat , we have much to discuss"
*She took anouther gulp and then looked at Risar and then Samhain*
"Are you in the mod for a bit of high seas? Or are you now set in the ole mans ways?"

Samhain sat.
"Da was respectable you know that. He severed the liquor btu was rarely in his cups. Yes he died well. His heart boke because of that spawn thats said to be my siblings, I disown them both! He died in his bed, his mind, body heart, his very soul giving up on life because he felt that hed failed them, and in turn, failed Mum. He got really sick, they don't what but his body just...stopped worked. He was a broken man. I spent many sleepless nights caring for im, but in the end I told him that I cna't watch him suffer anymore, and he needed to let go, because he wasn't getting better. His last words were "Thank you for understanding Samhain." Then he reached out and hugged me and then he was gone."
She smirked ruefully.
"He held on for me. I've done my best to do well by him and his memory but I need a change, if only for a little while. The high seas huh? Sounds interesting. I might be interested if you're willing to spill a bit more on what you're thinking."

Risar, now certainly more confused than he let on, pulled up a third chair and sat on it, but not before twirling it around so the back faced the table. He gulped down the rest of the ale in his mug, then placing it on the table, rested his arms on the chair's back and watched the two women, wondering just what Pheonix was planning. Curious as ever, he dropped his chin and looked out of heavily lidded blue eyes. Perhaps they would be off on an adventure then. Well, she would explain herself sooner or later, Risar just hoped it would be sooner, given him something to hold above the rest of the crew for a short while. His attentive attitude made it quite clear that he was listening.

*Phoenix smirk was evident that she was pleased with Risar's attentive nature, even more of Samhain's reposnse. Phoenix was pleased with Risar's appeal to a expecting adventure. He was indeed shaping up to be a fine pirate. She then looked at Samhain, and took a gulp of ale.*
"let's just say, you have something I need to make us living like kings. Do you remember a tale or story that your father had perhaps told ye when ye were but a squid? "
*She leaned in giving each of them a signal to follow suit.*
"A tale telling of something to do with the Hag's Cove, perhaps?"

When Pheonix gave her rounabout explanation, Risar appraised Samhain with a searching look, wondering just what she had, but his attention was quickly diverted as his captain began speaking again. He followed her lead, taking his weight on his arms and watching them both. Risar gave a start at the mention of Hag's Cove. True, he had heard only rumours and incredibly vague ones at that, but what he had heard had been filled with horrible imaginings. Now, Risar was a brave man, but he was also a sailor and sailors are a superstitious lot by nature. Now, he stared at Pheonix with a mixture of apprehension and eager excitement as his mind reeled through the many implications of her question.

*Phoenix lifted her head and made sure no unwanted ears were around, then looked directly into Samhian's eyes.*
"As you know there are many told tales about the Hag's Cove. Some say it is a cursed water, some say a wicth controls the waters."
*She then shifted her eyes to Risar then back to Samhain.*
"Some say that Posieden himself protects those waters. But one thing remains the same, no one has returned from there. No one but the Sinbad's Ghost with our fathers."
*She looked around to make sure they were still alone.*
"Now, I recently found my fathers log, and it tells of a booty the 10 times the size of a kings randsom. Mentions' that your father took a small medallion. It is supppose to be the key and part of the map."
*She leaned back in her seat, took a gulp of ale, and looked at her companions.*
"So, matey's who is wanting an adventure?"
*With a smirk and a burp, she watched their expressions waiting for thier answer.*

*It didn't take long for them to reply, after they she finished her ale, she drunkedly got up, tilted her head in good bye and walked out the front door. It was dark out and the sound of horse hooves and dogs barking could be heard. She inhaled the salty air and headed towards the Sinbad's Ghost. She didn't make it far, when she spotted a dog sitting at the corner of an alley. Drunken stupid, she began to talk to the dog*
"Ello' ya mangy muttz....where be yer master......"
*As she approached the dog, she noticed that he had a dirty circular , but familiar ob ject around its collar.*
"What ye have thar, a tricket have you. Let me see that"
*As she reached for the colar the dog snapped at her, causing her to pull back quickly and fall on her butt.*
"Heyz, whatcha do that for? I gist wanna look , that is all"
*She pulled her self up and noticed someone coming up from the dark alley way, it was too dark to tell who it was, but the dog seem to know them. *
