I came across an article and it got me to thinking, why do people become parents, if they are not interested in taking care of thier children? It breaks my heart. Parents that abandon or ignore thier children and animals end up taking care of them. it has become common enough that the situation has been given its own name, "Mowgli syndrome”. The article that got me started was about a 7 year old boy, known as "Bird-Boy. Full ArticleA boy lived with his mother in a 2-room apartment full of cages with feed and droppings. She had her own domestic birds and fed wild ones. A woman neither beat him nor left him without food. She just never talked to him. It was all the birds that communicated with the boy and taught him birds’ language.
The article goes on to tell of simular cases, where children were raised by apes, and dog packs as well.
