Recently.. my mom's gotten a bit controlling in what we do. And it more or less started on saturday night when I i stayed up 2 minutes past what she had told us to go to bed on. Considering it was at 2 in the morning but yeah. And due to me accidentally staying over a few minutes, she gets all angry and stuff and makes us stay off the comp which was yesterday. And now she is making it that we are to be in bed by 12. Yes, you read that right, by 12, not at 12, by 12. I feel that is highly unfair, but she doesn't seem to care much for what we think.
And now she's making it to where she will decide on when we can get on the computer. And that it has to be turned off at 10. Completely unfair for us? Or with in her own rights?

mm mm this is a problem hun, well being a Mom myself with teenage kids who have 24hr access to the Internet and computers in their own rooms I can understand how fed up she must feel, I have to be honest and say my two have to be off the Internet by 12.30am, if I'm using the PC in my room they are allowed to stay on as long as I am ( I have the main PC their Internet is wifi from it...lol ). But seeing as both my kids are still in education (Daughter is at Uni and son College) I like them off the PC and in bed for no later than 1am, if they feel tired during lessons its their own fault, they should go to bed sooner. Basically your screwed as long as she's the one paying for the Internet connection, maybe if you were to chip in and help to pay for it she might be prepared to give a little on the usage time. I sympathise with your predicament, all you can do is appeal to her better nature and make sure all home work assignments are done on time so she cant hold that over your head.

You should be happy...I am a bit more strickter then she is. I have a set schedule with my kids...it has always been this way....My daughter is in bed at 9 on a school night and my son is to be in bed by 11 on school nights...they are not allowed on the puter or watch tv till homework and chores are done...so sometimes they dont get either. Computer is a priveldge....and school is a necessity..soI require them to get a good nights sleep for school. Also, if there grades faulter they are not allowed to play on the puter unless it is school related.
Now on the Friday and saturday nights, they are allowed to stay up as long as they want.

Ah I remember the good old days when my two had strict bedtimes and never stayed up late, now they are 18 and 17 they sometimes stay up later than me and their Dad at weekends... lol
