... and other similar show from other countries (X-Factor for example): Who gets to decide which contestants are eliminated and how?
Let me explain why I'm asking. Here we have a similar type of show, which is at its second season. In the first season finals, the jury gave grades, but they didn't matter at all because the viewers voted the contestant they liked better. From the three contestants with the lowest number of votes, the other contestants could chose to save one, and the other two would have to sing a duet the next show, and the viewers, again, would chose which of them would go. The system was bad enough as it was, at one point, the two persons who ended up being finalists were in a duel, but they pulled it off so incredibly that they made an exception and ignored the viewer's vote and saved them both.
Last night the second season finales started and I noticed they changed the system in an even worse way: from the two contestants with the lowest vote number the other contestans chose the one they want to keep, and the other is kicked out, no more duel, no more second chance. It is absolutely rubbish, they managed to kick out a girl which had a lot of talent and keep a guy which totally ruined a song, on arguments such as friendship, and not talent.

I noticed a few change ups, but it is still the same....the judges pick the final 24 and then the audience calls in for the ones they want to keep. The contestants with the lowest scores go home....it is like that all the way through to the end... the judges tell thier opinion, but the audiences choose.

Much better than giving the final word to the contestants themselves. Well, not that the audience actually makes the best choices all the time, but still
