Boxing or Soccer?
Boxing was actually popular but right now its kinda going slow. Its not really going slow in my opinion, but it doesn't get much attention anymore. Boxing still has good fights all the time that will entertain you even if you're not a fan of the sport. I think they need to find a way to get more publicity. better advertising.
Soccer : I see it having the same problem with boxing, but it looks like its getting more attention now that David Beckham is here.
both good sports imo

Boxing is getting it's butt kicked by MMA. UFC and company's like IFL are dominating Boxing. Basically because it's a different style of fighting. It's a combination. I think MMA is the most popular. Soccar's a bit more now that David Beckham's in USA but it'll take it a few more years. Football is still big. Even though baseball's american passtime and is my fav. sport it doesn't have that many moments.
One of the problem's too for boxing is that you don't always have the great fighters like the past and such. Although the ranking's are much better then before.

actually boxing does have plenty of great fighters, but because of the little attention the sport gets only the boxing fans know them. Something that would help boxing is showing free fights like they did before. (abc, nbc ..etc)

They are on FOX sports and I believe ESPN. I don't know if boxing will go back to just basic tv anymore. What with the way FCC is. I saw one match a while back where the guys really were bloodied.

Football ( or soccer to none Europeans ) is by far the most popular sport here in the UK, followed by Rugby & cricket, then golf and boxing. I like to watch Football (soccer) and rugby. Boxing is OK I suppose, my husband used to be a boxer as both a kid and an adult and I have witnessed first hand what damage can be done, he once collapsed after winning a fight and I had to sit in an ambulance as he was rushed to hospital, thankfully it was just dehydration but it was discovered that he had a broken nose from his previous fight two weeks earlier *sigh*
