((there ya go, I just reposted))
Enya, who by nature was biaised against dogs, still didn't like the thought of three wolves dieing for what they thought was prey, she growled low in her throat, just barely on the bottom edge of a human's hearing range. However, Raiah's explanation pulled her attention back to the task being asked of her. She listened, processed and dissapeared up the river to where she knew this muskegg grew. Bushes rustled beside her and a gentle breath of air warned her and she was in the air as Saro reached her side, swinging up to sit astride his back, just behind his shoulders. Her fingers wrapped around the woven strands of twine that made up his collar. He had accepted it by accepting her, but their friendship had definitely progressed since then.
He loped along unhurriedly, but still covered more ground with each leap than she ever could have. They reached the place quickly enough and she searched for the sharp leaves Raiah had mentioned. It didn't take long and she gathered a large handful of the mossy plant, folding it up over the leaves she plucked, after a quick thank you to the plants. Saro took the return journey at a more conservative pace, but it wasn't far, they would get back well within Raiah's patience limit.
They paused just out of sight, Enya wondering whether to reveal Saro to the others. It was decided for her however when the large cat nudged her chest, sending her tumbling into the clearing and more importantly, into Raiah's view. She growled good naturedly at him, though he had done his dissapearing act and vanished from her sight. Turning, sh walked up to the lady and held out the slightly squished bundle for her use.

I stand up and retreive all my daggers and my swords off the ground. "the thing I dont understand is that the wolf's eyes where glowing when they where attacking me. they looked wierd when I was fighting them and they also seemed very smart for a wolf." I pick up the last dagger and dropped it instantly," crap, this dagger is hot." I look at the dagger closely while it is on the ground and I notice a strange pattern on the dagger," this dagger is not mine, did any of you drop a dagger?"

The man shook his head no and pondered on what he meant that the wolves seemed to be smarter. One thought that passed through his mind was that they could be werewolves.

Looking down at Enya, Raiah gently took the herbs with a grateful smile. "Thank you. Now, if you could go to my pack and get out three bowls." With her free hand she gestured at the wellworn pack lying on the ground. There were some things in there that she hadn't wanted Lyconus to see, nothing out of the ordinary, just personal belongings. For some reason, she trusted Enya.
It was as Raiah was letting the leaves fall into the soup pot that she heard what Rayne had to say about the wolves. Smarter. Glowing eyes. Her mind wandered down a very different path than Lyconus' was taking. Either one of them could have been correct, it could just have been a coincidence when Rayne exclaimed over the dagger.
Raiah closed her eyes, hands shaking as she stirred the pot and let the last of the muskegg fall to the ground. Carefully, she took a deep breath and turned to look at the dagger. Her already pale face lost all trace of colour, and a sound that may have been a sob escaped her lips. Even from where she stood Raiah recognised the design on the blade. How could she not when she had watched as he painstakingly carved it into the metal. It was to be for their son when he was old enough. T'Ran had taken it with him when they'd come for him, promising that he'd get it to her when their son was born. Why was is it here now?
As if in a trance, Raiah walked slowly towards the dagger and looked more closely at it. Everything about it was small, made for a youngster. It was expertly made, better than anything that could be found among humans. The edge would never dull and the hilt would never wear out. The design was in the likeness of a panther, crouched and stalking its prey. With not a little effort, Raiah bent over and picked it up.
The moment her hand touched the hilt, a gentle breeze wafted through the clearing, carrying the scent of roses, a flower that didn't bloom in this forest. Raiah took a deep breath, savouring the scent as tears rolled down her cheeks. A voice filled the clearing, deep and powerful. "Raiah, my love, our son is not yet born, but already I have sent you the dagger. Fear not, he will come to term healthy and strong as his mother. I gave it to you early, because I will not be alive on our son's birth day. Farewell, Raiah, and know that I will be waiting for you at the end of you path."
"No. NO!" Raiah threw the dagger down, and laid a hand on her swollen stomach. "No," she whispered as she fell to her knees in front of it, "why?" Her cheeks were wet with tears as she looked up at those around her. Maybe they had heard something different, but no, T'Ran wouldn't do that. She wrapped her arms around herself and wept openly, no longer caring what the others thought.

Lyconus looked towards her. "Are you okay?" His question of concern even surprised him.

She huffed at the lady's thanks, then scrambled over to the bag and began rummaging around, her small hands running between each item with quickness and dexterity even as she watched the two men from the corner of her eye. She had just found the bowls, and was tugging them out from beneath a tightly packed cloak, when they began discussing the weaponry they carried. Enya tilted her head, listening even as she put more effort into the task at hand. She didn't want to spill all of Raiah's belongings on the ground, but the bowls just wouldn't come out!
Her surprise as the scent of roses wafted about her was enough to make her pull just that little bit extra and she fell on her behind, the bowls nestled in her lap as the voice rang clearly through the trees. Shaking with fright, Enya growled and wrapped her arms about an anxious Saro. The large tiger had run to her the moment he heard the first word and now he twined himself about her back and sides like an overgrown housecat, seeking, at the same time, to comfort her and gain her comfort. However, her startlement was forgotten, or at least, placed in the back of her mind, when Enya heard the lady's stricken cry.
Dashing up, she let the bowls tumble to the ground and circled the woman warily, watching to see if it had been caused by one of the two men standing there. Saro came too, less out of worry for Raiah than the need he felt to protect Enya, but his great head reached out and rubbed against Raiah's shoulder. The heavy vibrations of his purring running through every inch of his body. Enya settled herself at a safe distance, ready to do whatever the lady asked, if only she would explain the strange phenomenon.

With a look of great confusion, he looks at Raiah and said," are you ok? Whats wong?"
He looks up into the air and then said," whats that noise? its familiare but I cant place it." He reaches for his sword and realised that it is not there and said," Frack," and ran to go get his sword, for he left it at the river... this sword is special from any other sword, for this is his favorite sword and its Enchanted.

"He's dead! How could I possibly be okay?" Her words came out angrier than she had meant them, it was just shocking. How could he be dead? He had been her life, her love. When his people had come to take him away their son had been a reminder of his living. Now, T'Ran was dead. For some reason, Raiah couldn't quite wrap her mind around that fact.
Without any concious thought, Raiah began patting Saro on the head, hardly aware that he was a tiger and not a small cat come asking for a tray of milk. The purring was comforting and the familiar rhythm of patting his head made her feel better. The seond question never entered her mind. Instead, she looked down at her stomach, continuing to pat Saro and rubbing her other hand over the stretched fabric of her dress. "My son, you will live for him."

A few moments go by and he comes back, but with a new sword by his side. He looks at Raiah and said," Whos dead and sorry that I asked ok lady?" His words where cruel but he didnt mean for it to be that way, it just came out that way. " Lady, I dont know anything about you and all of a sudden you start screaming and crying... I was only trying to help," he said as he knelt before her.

Lyconus gave him a look that showed he was annoyed. "Boring is good, and why don't you do some sort of practice to keep yourself busy?"
