Is it wrong if our spy plane was shot down over another country? Is it their space so we have no one to blame but ourselves? Or what if they sent spies into our land. Would it be acceptable they executed without return to their country? Since they did trespass?
thoughts please.

Well I would say that if a spy plane was shot down..would suck and definetly not good for the people in the plane's family. If there is a person in the cockpit these days. But, we would do the same if it was the USA. We would try and shoot it down. So I think that is just something that everyone would try and do it.
It's one of the drawbacks wth putting a plane over an air space. Plus, I think as a whole with planes that government does own the skys. So it is there place.
Geneva convention I dont' think would allow for them to be executed.

No its not wrong to shoot down a spy plane pilot from another country. It's our air space. Meaning we I think legally own the skys that are over America. And, really would you want anyone to know what you are doing? Even if it is peaceful and not going to drop a Nuke or something on someone? Every country and including this one has it's secrets, and those secrets should probably remain a secret. edit -laffs- My bad I thought you were saying it was wrong. That is a my bad lol.

Would you agree that the spies should be killed? or incarcerated? Me? Yes. I do think there should be some form of punishment. I don't know about killing a peson. I apose the death penelty. But, not really the bible just that we'v had public executions of some kind through history and yet we still kill them. I don't think it's really having an effect. Just keeping those that already wouldn't commit the crimes and such from committing them. While the one's that are going to anyhow still do it..

I have a hard time incorporating morals into war. From a PURELY military stand point, ALWAYS shoot down the spy planes. If you want a clean war, just execute them; if you're willing to get messy, torture them for info.

Well what do you think of torturing then? Spy torture for information.

Again, from a purely military standpoint, go for it. It may be a little hard to write out of the history books, but who will care if you won?
Personally though, I'm against torture. I'm against war in general since the invention of the gun.

Wars are needed sometimes, especially when the other side doesnt want to listen.

Gandhi waged peace. I'm pretty sure India isn't part of the British Empire any more.
