There are advantages to being only 5'1" tall. Lower center of gravity, easier access to "vulnerable" areas, and speed. Boribeth knew her own strengths and weaknesses and used them to her own advantage. She followed Phoenix into the fray and soon it was hard to tell the "good guys" from the bad in the tangle of fighting bodies. From the corner of her eye, she caught the glint of a sword in the air and knew Phoenix was well engaged in battle as well. She lost sight of Drake and the old man, not knowing if they had followed or not.

*Pheonix thrusted her blade into one of the men , as she side kicked anouther. She then pulled the blade out and deep crimson liquid spurted out and on to her tunic. *
"That was my best tunic"
*She swung to her sword to her left, as two more men came from behind her. She saw that Boribeth was holding her own.
Impressed by the tavern maiden, she smirked. She watched boribeth stealthy move and intertwine with the men.*
"Not bad, you will have to tell me how you learned to fi....."
*Phoenix was cut off, when one of the men kicked her in the back of the knee, causing her to drop. Pissed off, she swung around and forced the blade to go through both his legs. She used the sword to assist herself up.*
"That hurt...."
*She inhaled deeply and continued to battle, she glanced over at Boribeth*
"...as I was saying...."
*Phoenix watched her move adn couldn't beleive the skill she had. Phoenix didn't know weather to like her or be cautious around her, she wastched and decided both.*

"Military school," Boribeth said to Phoenix, while dispatching another goon. She glanced around and still didn't see Drake or the old man. Her thoughts were interrupted by an arm around her neck. She turned her head to the side so that her trachea was in the crook of his elbow, allowing her to breathe. Winking at Phoenix, she then fainted. The guy loosened his grip, letting her drop to the ground. As she hit, she opened her eyes and punched her fist skyward right into the goon's family jewels. Grinning, Boribeth swung to her feet and ran towards the ship...

Drake shook his head, as he caught up. "Sorry, thinking of an old memory." Drake spoke, remembering being called 'Jakob'..."so many years ago..." Drake gasped.

Boribeth frowned at Drake. "We're fighting and you're sidelined by a memory?" She glanced over at Phoenix whose face had the blood of their enemy on it, and then looked back at Drake, "now would be a good time for that magic of yours..."

*Still energized by the adrenaline, Phoenix looked over at Drake and fustration ensued. She listened to Boribeth and Drake conversing, when she spotted the old man slowling climbing out from behind a rock.*
"And what is your excuse old man?"
*He stepped out with on hand on the large rock and walked towards her with his staff in hand. He raised his hand and smiled.*
"No reason, I am just old and would have gotten hurt. I can't have that happen, now can I?"
*He then pointed to the ship and walked past all of them in the direction of the ship. Pheonix stood there with blood dripping of the side of her head and gripping her sword to her side. She watched as the others hastedly moved towards the ship. She then looked at her fighting companion and then wiped the blood on her blade onto the side of her pants and sheathed it. Then headed towards the ship*
"Military school huh? "

"Pretty much it." Drake replied thinking of the memory, Drake then pulled out four cloaks from his bag, "Put these on, over your whole body, and become unseeable." Drake said as he handed all of them out, he placed his on, disappearing from the eye.

"Military school was a long time ago," Boribeth said quickly, "but I guess the old reflexes are still there." She rubbed a deepening bruise on her arm, "well...most of them."
As she took a cloak, Boribeth looked at Drake and then at all the bodies. "Um...thanks," she said, draping it over her arm. She stood there humming a happy tune, waiting for Phoenix to open the doors to the ship.

Drake scratched the back of his head, near his neck, before he fully threw the cloak on, Drake summoned up a shield for himself, so he pulled a map out of his pockets to detect life signs, "Somebody is coming." Drake said qucikly, pulling the cloak over his head.

"What?! Where?!" Boribeth exclaimed, throwing the cloak over her head. It draped easily over her small frame and dragged on the ground. Since no one could see her, she removed her gloves to see if the serpent burn was still there and frowned when she saw that it was darker than ever. While her gloves were off, she reached into her pack and pulled out some jerky. As she waited for instructions, she gnawed on it, savoring the salty meat.

Drake walked to where he knew Boribeth was, he pulled the side of the cloak up and stepped in, "hey, check this..." he asked, holding a map out showing their lifesigns and another one coming closer to them.
"HEY!" A voice shouted, and Drake quickly glanced over at the two with no cloaks on, "Wignardium Leviosia." DRake shouted, pointing his wand at the cloaks and dropping it on their heads.

The closeness of Drake's body made Boribeth start to sweat. Quickly putting her gloves on to cover the burn, she gazed down at the map he was holding. "Wow," she breathed softly, "that's really...really..." His eyes were a color she couldn't readily identify. "Is it hot in here...or is it just me?"

*Pheonix was tryig to move the body that laid in front of the entrance. *
"this guy weighs a punds of a galazygrif."
*She grunted as she pulled him to the side.*
"There , lets get out of here"
*She reached up, opened a concealled panel and placed her hand on a scan pad. Once her hand had been approved, the loud engine started up. She looked at the others who had a curious look as to how it started*
"I have been in alot of situations..."
*She stepped into the ship and waited for them to enter*
"where I had to leave quickly, soo I decided to have it start when I open the doors."
*As she was finishing her sentence, she heard Boribeth ask*
"Is it hot in here...or is it just me?"
*Phoenix roller her eyes*
"Are you two coming or should we give you a few minutes to do what ever your doing under there?"

Boribeth blushed deeply at Phoenix's words. She gave Drake a silly grin and slipped out from under her cloak, leaving Drake standing there staring at his map. Jumping into the ship, she looked back at his location and said, "c'mon magician."
Slipping past Phoenix, Boribeth looked around at their transportation. "Never been in one of these before," she said. "What is it?" She found a seat and dropped her bag to the floor, pushing it under her with her foot.

"I'm not doing anything." Drake shouted really quick running after Boribeth, and standing a distance away, pulling his cloak off, looking up Drake spoke gravely, "More danger is yet to come." he spoke in some type of trance.
