"I am not a blood decendeent of the great Nicholas Flammel, I was adopted by him, after my real mother and father died." Drake then looked at the woman. "Greed huh?" he laughed "You want the stone? Take it, the powers will not work for anyone except a Flammel, and I am Atlantean, so I will live almost forever.
Drake then thought they are not conviced he thinks. "Chop my arm off." Drake said in a serious voice. "CHOP IT OFF!!"

*Phoenix looked at him and started walking. The old man had stopped and was facing her, when the Atlantian yelled*
"CHOP IT OFF!!"
*She thought he was out of his mind. She took out her sword and raised it above her head. The old man moved towards her but the Atlantian shook his head for him to be still*
"Are you sure you want me to?"
*Phoenix didn't have a soft stomach, she was hard and confident in what she did. And here he stood, a creature, who she did not fully trust,a creature who didn't value riches, but was with a stone the size of her fist and a creature who was raised in the study of science, but believed in magic. He was a was a walking contradiction. *
"Are you absolutely sure ?"
*With a quick thrust down , her sward cut through the atlantians skin, through his bones and out the other side . Once the sword was out, she heard the gasp from the old man, and looked at the young atlantian with curiosity*

Drake smiled as the arm came off, it caused a great deal of pain. Drake screamed. "Watch." Drake speaks in a harsh tone, because of the pain. A light surrounded the length of his previous arm space, and turned blue and green repeatedly. Then another arm took place, a fresh new arm "Regeneration."

*Phoenix looked at the arm in bewilderment. She had never seen such magic being used. She had always thought this magic was a myth that the parents told thier children. She watched as the shimmering lights flickers around the edge of his arm and then looked down at the blood on the blade, as to make sure she had indeed chopped his arm off.*
"I don't beleive it. How ? How can you do that without an hydropod chamber? "
*The old man watched with out an expression, like it was no big deal to him. But then Phoenix caught what she thought to be a smirk.
She turned to continue following the old man up the hill and said nothing else for the longest time. She had much to think about as she walked. Where was the old man guiding them, why did this stranger come to her and how did his council know she was there? There were so many questions and no answers. Yet , the one that was fore most on her mine was How could she possibly understand what she just saw. She glanced back at the Young atlantian to see if he was still there and if he had his arm or if it was her mind playing tricks.*

Drake looked from the woman to the old man. "Is that enoguh proof that I am of a more advance race? Now hand me the wand again." Drake grabed the wand fromt the man's hands. He then point it to a boy around the age of 10 close by, and then shouts some words, the boy floats in the air and screms, then Drake screamed the word. "Silenco!" with his wand toward the boys mouth. Instantly the boy was quiet, trying to scream. Drake then let the boy down and lifted the spell, and the boy ran off. "Snorus." Drake wispers as he points his wand under his chin. His voice booms around the ship. "Magic, like it?"

*The old man looked at the young atlantian as though he was offended. He then watched the atlantian use his magic on an unexpecting boy.
Phoenix too found it very rude of the atlantian. The more he did the less she seem to trust him. But she decided to keep him around. She had learn an old ancient proverb keep your freinds close and your enemies closer. Since she really didn't have many freinds, she knew to well about enemies.*
"You play with magic like its a toy"
*Phoenix looked at the old man as he spoke. He was an awnry old man. She kinda liked his courage.*
"We should be there , should we not?"
*Phoenix asked as she looked over at the old man*
"Yes, around that ridge and we shall see a small town. The one we seek shall be there."
*He looked over at the Atlantian*
"You might want to put that away. These people are a superstituos people and might start beleiving your a god or something. "
*Phoenix looked back at the Atlantian and then back towards her front. She might have taken advantage of these people adn there superstitions, if she had been here for other purposes. After all, if they were foolish enough to beleive in these type of things, then they deserved it. *
"So you have to do everything I say Drake?"
*Pheonix feeling out the young atlantian.*

*Phoenix looked at him and giggled*
"Like they have any say on my ship lol...or over me"
*She continued to giggle till they reached the small town. It was a small and active town. People were walkign the streets, children were playing , the smell of baked goods and burning carcusus permiated the air. She watched as the old man looked around, as if looking for somthing or someone particular*
"Well, old man I got you here, now what?
*he pointed with his staff and started walking to a small tavern. Phoenix looked at him and smiled*
"you read my mind"
*She entered the tavern and headed to the bar, when the old man let out a slight cough and nodded to the empty table in the corner. They all sat down at the table,*
"We are here to get a femalle. I dont know who she is or what her name is, only she lives here and has the born name of Griffen. We must take her with us ."
*Phoenix looked at him*
"I am not kidnapping. Besides I have yet to be paid."
*The old man raised his hand up to her i gester to silence her.*
"You willbe rewarded handsomely, when the task are done."
"Fine, but I am not taking her if she doesn't want to go. And you will be resposable for her."
*He nodded in agreement*
"well any suggestions on how we find this person discreetly? We have no name and not image and no idea"

"What I mean my young atlantian freind, can you descreetly use that magicks of yours to locate the one I seek?"
*Phoneix sat back , watching the two , as if they were planning some secret scam.*

((OOC: mind if I jump in? Do you have anyone to play the Griffen character? If not... *begs*))
*Half-hidden in the shadows, with her hood covering most of her face, the young women stared at the captain and the Atlantian. Somehow, she felt her fate and theirs entwine before her, knotting together like string. She scowled at the drink in her hand, and took another sip, before returning her gaze to the three companions.*

((Thanks!))
*Griffen shook her head to clear herself of the feeling of Wyrd, and sighed. If her fate was bound up with these travellers, she decided, then so it must be. She come to this place following her Wyrd, after all. Casting back her hood, she stood. Dressed in the style of her people, her brown cloak swung open as she walked. Her brown hair was long, but swept back, and she was dressed in male garments, faded with long travel. A Dweomerwoman, she was used to magic, but never had she felt the pull of her wyrd so strongly. Placing her empty glass on the bar, she walked towards the three companions.*
"What I mean my young atlantian freind, can you descreetly use that magicks of yours to locate the one I seek? Well?"
"Perhaps...I can be of assistance."
*Griffen smiled and reached out to pull a chair up to the table. As she did so, her cloak fell over her shoulder, revealing her gambeson, on which was emblazoned a strange crest: a griffon rearing over a red stone.*
((Yeah, I read Katherine Kerr.....hehehehehe!!))
