I just got three Beta's and i havent even anmed then yet, as i type their not even in their tanks becuse the water needs to declorinate.
I felt bad for these fish though becuse they were heald in littile begs with just enough water to keep them alive, i know thats how they ship them but, its just kinda sad ya know. Even after the guy explained they live in rice patties
i bought three glass bowls for them, becuse you have to keep them seperate, betas will kill one another.
But their pretty becuse they come in diffrent colors and what not.

Lol thats so funni. I have had three betas. they don't normally live past two years. But my oldest one was 4 years and two months old. The other two were just over two years. Demon (4) Azrael (2 1/2) and Loki (2) all died when I cleaned their bowls out on the night of Firday February 25, 2005. Tis sad.
If you want to give your betas a nice treat, cook three peas, one for each fish, squeeze the peas so that the seeds come out of teh outer skin/shell, and give the fish the seeds, not the skins. It is good for them and they love it. You just can't feed them the pease as a daily meal. Mayby a pea once a week or something.

i honestly had no idea pease has seeds, though now it makes a strange bit of sence, and actually i need to go out and get my three fish more food. They say to feed them like 3 pellots 3 times a day but ive been feeding them far more pellots.

yeah you know like the ouer skina dn on the iside there are two seed like things...kinda like a small gree peanut. As for food, I just gave each of them like 12 pellets a day and the one lived for 4 years, so just goes to show the the "experts" know

I have a very good type of food you can try. It is the only beta food (that I have found at least) that doesn't cloud up the water. If you want the name lemme know
