The young Atlantean nodded. "Maybe. I have to know what I am looking for."

"Well Old man? Who are we looking for? All I know is the name Griffen and I would like to know why?"
*She leaned in to be able to hear the oldmans whispers.*
"It is said that in time in the ancient days four houses rose up against a great enemy. Leading these four houses was a chosen warrior. I am trying to find the decendents of these four houses and bring them together and hopefully find the decented of the warrior..."
*Pheonix sat there and had to admit she was indeed intrigued. *
"We need to find this person before the cloak army find out what we are doing"
*Phoenix leaned in, and eyes wide open*
"Cloak Army?"
*The old man nodded*
"They too are an ancient tribe. Most still deny they ever existed and that they were nothing more then myth, but they were a secret society that worked for the dark forces. They were greedy and cruel and always moved in the shadows. But I have seen them.."
*Phoenix looks at him and is curious, but thinks she already knows the answers*
"What do you mean You have SEEN them?"
*The old man looked at her and winked*
"Who do youthink I was flying from , when you found me?"
*Phoenix then sat back in her seat and took anouther sip of ale, when she got the most pecular feeling , that they were being watched. She didn't say anything to the others, but instead kept alert and ready for anything.*
"So , Lets find this Griffen person."

((OK.......shall I try that again? I assume you all missed my last post..... lol!!! OK, I'll take from Griffen at the bar...)) *Griffen stood at the bar, her back to the three travellers, but her face turned towards them, her bright eyes travelling from one to the other as they spoke. Her hood still about her face, her eyes narrowed as she her heard her name spoken, and she felt the pull of her Wyrd even stronger than before.* ~If this is what the Gods ask of me, then so be it.~ *Reaching up a hand, she drew her hood back, and turned to watch the travellers openly. Concentrating, she reached her mind outwards, and took in the old man's whispers.* ~So, the prophecy starts to unfold.~ *Reaching a descion, Griffen moved towards Phoenix's table.* "It seems, my friends, you need some....assistance. Perhaps I can help you." *As she leant to reach for a chair to draw up to the table, her cloak slipped from her shoulder, revealing the device of a rearing Griffon.* "My name is Griffen."

The young Atlantean, sat on the hard ground. Wondering what to say. "The ancient tribe is not a myth, it is not a tribe, it is a spell to hide your soul."

(((elfdaughter: My apologies, I really didn't see you....Drake: HUH? lol...the cloak Army is kinda like the futuristic demetors and why are you sitting on the hard ground when we are at a table?.....)))
"It seems, my friends, you need some....assistance. Perhaps I can help you. My name is Griffen"
*All the occupants of the table looked up and saw a female with bright eyes looking down at them. The old man studied the girl and then his eyes drew down to the small insignia sewn within the cloak. Pheonix watched as the old man recognized it and how he nervously or perhaps excitedly scooted to the side to let the new comer to the table may sit. *
"how did you know we are here for you?"
*Pheonix looked at her with caution. She hadn't decided if she trusted this newcomer, or if she even wanted to continue this quest. Somehow, as she looked at the old man and thinking about the event that fell to her, she didn't know if it was her destiny or her bad fortune.*
"Well?

(((lol..okay...just not sure where that came from )))
*Phoenix could see the old man was startled when she saw him loosing his balance and spilled over his drink. She watched as he bgans to levitate up from his seat.*
"Whoa by the heavens, what is going on?"
*Phoenix looked over at the young atlantean*
"What do youthink your doing, We are trying to be descreat here. All your doing is attracting attention to us."
*She looked over at the newcomer of the table. Not really sure to except her claim to who she was, she then looked over at Drake *
"Would you mind putting him done? "
*She then thought for a second and realized he did it without his wand*
"Then you can tell us how you did that"

"Watch it, will ya," a young woman said, scrambling forward, a towel in her hand. She gave an angry look at the fluid pooling on the floor by the old man. Bending down, she slowly wiped it up...and then realized the man was a few inches up off of the floor. "Magic..." she whispered. She stood and faced the table, "you're doing MAGIC!" The final word was said loudly, and several heads around the room turned.

The young Atlantean laughed. Drake took his wand out and led the old man back down. "That was the levitation spell, very simple...too simple." the young Atlantean smiled. Drake turned his head at the girl who yelled at the old man. Drake pointed hsi wand at the remaining mess, to make it go away. "Magic, so?"

"So?" She laughed and repeated it again. "So?!" She just about danced on her toes, "it's just that..." Stopping, she looked around and lowered her voice for the first time, then leaned in close to Drake, "can anyone learn it?"
The others around the table were awfully quiet and she realized she had forgotten her manners. Extending her hand towards the group, she smiled widely and said, "Boribeth Sunland."

*Phoenix fustrated that too many people were now involved blurted out*
"NO!"
*The old man then quickly reached over and planted his down on hers and looked at her*
"Now, Now there is no need to be rude. Mrs. Sunland here just asked a simple question, there is no harm in that is there?"
*Phoenix grunted under her breathe. She was growing impatient and wantd to get back to The Legacy*
"Fine old man have it your way. Why not invited Mrs Sunland with us."
*She knew the sarcasim wouldn't get pass them, but the old man looked at Mrs Sunland*
"Well, Mrs. Sunland, what do youthink about joining us on an magical adventure?"
*Phoenix sat there jaw dropped, but no words came out. How could this be happeneing? ONe minute she was minding her own business travelling through space and the next she has a misfit crew. She looked over Mrs Sunland and Gripped her cup tightly.*

Drake continued to stare at the girl. "Hello, I am Drake Flammel." he reached out for her hand. "So, magic, do you believe i it?" Drake asked the whole group.

Boribeth grabbed Drake's hand and shook it vigorously, pumping it up and down with enthusiasm. "Do I believe?! Oh yes sir, I do." After an uncomfortable silence, she released his hand, still smiling, then looked at Phoenix. The woman did not look happy. Boribeth turned to her and knelt at her feet, looking up with wide-eyed innocence, "gosh, you're pretty," she said. "I can carry your things, if you'd like. I wouldn't mind. I'd hate to be a bother." Still kneeling, she gazed over to the old man, "are you serious about me coming? I know how to cook, and I can clean, and I can run errands and stuff...."
A shadow fell over Boribeth's face for a moment and she looked at everyone in the group, one at a time, "I've been told I talk too much. I'm sorry. I promise I won't be a burden..."
