STAFFING POLICY
Please do not ask to become a member of staff. Staff positions are given as needed and to those the staff and I feel deserve it.
Several things are taken into consideration, when deciding to promote a member to staff.
1. Loyalty - I look at how long a member has been here, if they are active or not and if they post on a consistant basis.
2. Knowledge - I watch how well they know the subject of the board under consideration for modding. Are they making intelligent and thought provoking post. Are they ably to appreciate anouther members right to disagree without being confrontational.
3. Inititive - Do they take the initive to start a threads/topics on there own. Do they post thought provoking topics. Do they make suggestions to benefit the forum?
4. Conduct - How do they interact with the rest of the forum? Does the member handle them self with maturity, but maintain the ability to be fun? Is the member respectful to staff and other members?
5. Recommendations - But most importantly of all I take in consideration the recommendations of my staff. I have a great staff here and have the utmost confidence in them and thier choices. There just isn't a better staff.
So far, all the staff I have now, have worked hard and have earned thier positions. When I am ready to promote, either the Guardians or myself will come to you and ask you , if you are interested in the position. The best advice I can give you, is that you become a active, constructive and productive poster.

HOTLINKING AND HOSTING IMAGES
You are not allowed to hotlink images on The Enchanted Element. This is stealing, plain and simple. You must host the images yourself, if you are going to post images here. This is to imclude sigs, avatars, and images in a post.
There are alot of good free hosting services online. If for some reason you cannot get the hosting to work, please feel free to contact any member of staff and they will be able to help you or host it for you.
Any images that I find are hotlinked on The Enchanted Element, I will remove the image and you will receive a warning. If you do it again, I will ban you without hesitation. Stealing is stealing. Do it once, shame on you...do it twice ..shame on me...get the idea?

COMMONLY ASK QUESTIONS
1 . How do I edit my profile?
You can either click on your name or click the profile button at the top of the forum. It will then take you to your profile, then click on modify profile. you can add , modify or delete from here. Make sure you save.
2 . How What is personal text?
Your personal text is the place under the avatar in your profile that can say anything you want to say. Often popular phrases are used in here.
3 . What is an avatar?
An avatar is a recognizable image placed under your name in your profile.
4 . How can I see if I have PMs?
Above the banner is a bar, if you have a message the bar will show up as "You have an incoming message" click on it and you will have access to your pm box.
5 . How do I send a PM?
Same as above question. Click on bar above banner and your pm box will open up.
6 . How do I get an alert when I recieve a PM?
If you wish to get an alert ofther then the one above your banner, you can click on the notification button in your preferences in your PM area.
7 . How do I add a picture in my signiture?
If you wish to add an image all you have to do is place them inside the img ubbc codes.

8 . How do I contact the admin?
All you have to do is click on thier name and it will take you to thier profile, click on "send message".
9 . How can I login as invisiable?
Goto your profile and scroll down towards the bottom of the page, clcik "yes" for invisability and then save.
10 . How can I resize a picture in my post?
11 . What is Bless/cursed?
This is a karma feature. If you like something someone did for you or been a good help or posted a great post or story, then by all means Bless them. However, they been rude, no help at all, then by all means curse them. But becareful, karma is a funny thing, it tends to come back three fold.
12 . How do I post links with text in a post?
You can click on the ubbc codes for URL...or

13 . If I curse an admin or mod will I be banned or warned?
In most cases, you will not, UNLESS, you are abusing the priveledge.

BOARD PROMOTING AND ADVERTISING
Members in the past have asked if they can put banners and buttons on thier sigs in various places, so I decided to place a list of buttons and banners made for the forum. Please feel free to use them.
